I think I’ve got a problem
I think I’m in a fix
Ponteuf keeps going missing
He’s really playing tricks.
First in the Frankfurt airport
Awful, what a scare
He was chatting with the gate agent
At least I found him there.
Now we’re here in Turkey
And he’s left me once again
The waiter returned him to me
I’m upset, I won’t pretend.
I think he’s feeling vengeful
I do have to admit
During the safari
I left him in the bag quite a bit.
I told him of the danger
To a lion he’d be a treat
But he ignored my excuses
I’m afraid the solution isn’t neat.
I must watch him much more closely
And take him out at will
Then I must keep hoping
That he’ll stop being such a pill.
Where does he get these ideas
It’s really very rich
But when I question his motives
He just goes scritch scritch scritch.
Tomorrow I’ll take him to the ruins
And take photos of him there
Then I’ll cross my fingers
And hope he knows I really care.
